#KPI Headlines:
- Conference tournament brackets are linked below for all conferences who have completed their regular season. After Sunday, the Penn-Princeton game on Tuesday is the only regular season game remaining on the schedule.
- Press Row’s Not Safe Podcast: March Madness talk with Raphielle Johnson and Kevin Pauga.
- Harvard and Eastern Kentucky have clinched NCAA automatic bids. Green Bay, Belmont and High Point have clinched NIT automatic bids (should they not make the NCAA Tournament).
- For the moment, the #KPI math leaves No. 49 Green Bay as the second to last team in the field of 68. That said, with no more games to be played, there is a reasonable chance they get passed.
- No. 53 SMU (23-8, 12-6 American) appears to be a temporary outlier. They are within percentage points of being in the field.
- The cut line was pushed to No. 50 with changes in the Horizon League and Ohio Valley Conference on Saturday.
- Notes on Rule Changes: Note the discrepancy between #KPI and NCAA data is how games against Non D-I schools are counted (4.0% of the data)
#KPI NCAA Tournament Field of 68 (through March 8): Automatic bids from the 32 conferences are determined by the top remaining seed in the conference tournament if that conference’s regular season is over. If not, the AQ will temporarily be determined by best conference record, then best overall record, then best #KPI. This list is comprised purely by math with no scrubbing.
